Kay offers Parish Nursing at EPUMC. Parish Nursing helps people take responsibility for their own health and to help them grasp new insights about the many causes of illness by blending the art and science of nursing with their faith beliefs. Parish Nursing is a unique, specialized practice of professional nursing that focuses on the promotion of holistic health by blending the physical, emotional, and spiritual components of health and wellness.
Kay was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri; Overland Park, Kansas, and Omaha, Nebraska. Kay received her BSN from Creighton University and her MSN and PhD in Nursing at the University of Colorado.
Career paths have led to Nursing for Kay, Coming to Estes Park was realized after Kay read an ad in the Denver Post for a Director of Nursing position at Estes Park Medical Center. When she saw the ad for a second time she knew it was for her so the family moved to Estes Park in 1992. After nine years at EPMC Kay started her own wellness program, Options for Healthy Living Inc. In addition to being the Director of Options for Healthy Living Inc. Kay is currently the Director of Nursing at Harmony Foundation Inc. a 28 day residential substance abuse treatment facility in Estes Park.Kay enjoys photography, biking, sports, walking and nature.

Be sure to scrub your hands thoroughly for 15-20 seconds with soap and plenty of hot water – No access to a sink? If you have an alcohol gel disinfectant, use that to keep your hands clean.
